Wake up. Your life is not over.
Welcome to the other side of the life you thought was set.
A retreat through nature, effort and clarity, on the high ground.
Five days away. Three days on the trail.
Three days in the Norwegian mountains. Movement, scenic views, unguarded conversation and enough silence to hear yourself again.
The High Ground is a small-group hiking retreat for people who want to feel more alive, clear and capable. You are not a passenger in your own life. You are here, this is now, and you get to choose how you move from here.

Move.
Long days on foot. Cold water. Breath that earns itself. The body remembers what the mind has forgotten.
Reflect.
Slow mornings, real conversation, and shared insights that land deeper than advice.
Reset.
Phones away. Weather in. Food cooked over fire. Five days to detox your brain from short dopamine spikes and fully reset body and mind.
Action.
How to keep your new high ground within you. Boundaries, redirection, and language for it, shaped together in the group with mutual respect and love.

This isn't a wellness retreat.It's a confrontation, kindly held.
A chance to be honest about the life we may have built on autopilot.
We are not broken. Healing is reclaiming your capacity.
The High Ground brings you back to real terrain, real people and the kind of physical effort that quiets the mind enough for the truth to come through.
I'm Sara. Founder of The High Ground.
Swedish, with roots in Norway. A woman, a mother, and the founder of The High Ground.
I believe in movement, nature, and honest conversation. I also believe we spend far too much time trying to think our way out of things the body could help us walk, sweat, laugh, cry, climb, or swear our way through.
I created The High Ground because I know how easy it is to get stuck in your own head. To feel tired, blocked, restless, or like you are waiting for life to start again.
Sometimes you need a big change.
Sometimes you just need to get moving.
For me, walking, mountains, and real conversation have always done something thinking alone cannot. They cut through the noise.
Scandinavian landscapes carry a quiet kind of teaching: weather, distance, endurance, simplicity, and belonging. People here have always had to meet what was in front of them, build skill, stay close, and keep going.
You have that in you too.
Come meet the weather. Build slow dopamine. Find your high ground.

Come join the ride of being human. Fully.
Bring your longing. The rest is waiting on the ridge.

Groups are small because this work needs space, trust and presence.
Tell me who you are, what you are longing for, and what is pulling you toward the ridge.
You do not need to be an experienced hiker to join.
